Alex Higgins love of the mountains brought him to Sun Valley in October of 1976. Upon graduating from the University of Santa Clara Law School, Alex moved to Aspen for a single winter and ended up practicing law and living there for the next five years. On a summer trip to Idaho, he discovered Sun Valley and that fall closed his law office and moved. However, he is still a member of the California Bar, the Colorado Bar and has real estate broker's licenses in both Colorado and Idaho. Though Sun Valley's winters first attracted him, he stayed because of the summers and the falls. Alex is an accomplished marathoner, triathlete and excellent skier. He has worked as a model in national ad campaigns and along with his wife, Pat, and two young sons, Alex enjoys camping, cycling, fishing and hunting. He has been involved in many business and community organizations, including Past Vice President of the Sawtooth Board of Realtors, Past President of the Pioneer Montessori School and Vice President and President of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation.
