Raised in the Wood River Valley, Jed counts bird hunting with Ernest Hemingway as one of his fondest memories. Over the course of his career, Jed has been a headmaster at a private school in Denver, Executive Director for Ketchum's Chamber of Commerce, and a six-term president of the Sun Valley Board of Realtors. Having obtained a real estate license in 1980, Jed joined his father, the first real estate agent in Sun Valley at Win Gray Realty, which later became Sun Valley Associates. Jim has been an annual visitor to Sun Valley since the days of his youth, 1976 to be specific. Love of the mountains lured him from his roots in the Midwest to the University of Colorado where he received a Masters Degree in Sports Psychology. With his wife, Barbara, Jim moved to Sun Valley permanently in 1992. Jim and Barbara feel extremely fortunate to have raised their three children in the natural beauty of the Wood River Valley. Professionally, Jim has served on many committees and three terms as President of the Sun Valley Board of Realtors. He has also served as Vice President of the Western Mountain Resort Alliance of Realtors, a trade organization of brokers from various western resorts who gather regularly to share real estate and economic related information. Jim's travels with WMRA and his years of experience as a broker in Sun Valley give him a background of knowledge about other resorts and of Sun Valley's unique placement among them.
